Module 3 / Lesson 3.R

Module Reflection – Communication

Identify your own communication strengths and a 30-day improvement plan covering presence, written, async, and video.

This is a text-only reflection lesson – no video. Use the chatbot below to walk through the prompts.

You’ve just done a lot of work on how you show up: your public presence, your written application materials, your async habits, the quieter signals hiring managers read off you, and how you handle yourself on camera. That’s a lot of surfaces to think about at once. This reflection pulls all of it into one place.

What you’ll produce

A first-person Communication Profile – around 200–400 words, in your own voice. It’s the “how I communicate” answer you can use in interviews, and it’s the section of your dashboard recruiters read when they want to hear, in your own words, how you work with other people. You’ll also commit to one specific 30-day habit – the thing you actually carry forward into the next module.

The eight prompts

Walk through each of these with the chatbot. Take your time on the ones that surprise you.

  1. What does your public presence say about you right now – and what’s the one signal you most want it to carry going forward?
  2. In your written application materials, what’s your natural strength – organising information, structuring an argument, getting to the point? Where do you slip into claims instead of behaviour?
  3. How clear is your async writing? Do your messages get acted on without follow-up, or do they tend to generate questions?
  4. Of the three hidden signals – responsiveness, tone, precision – which is already a strength, and which would you most like to tighten?
  5. How do you feel about video, and which part of the setup (sound, light, background, pacing) makes the biggest difference for you?
  6. Where does clarity come easily to you, and where do you have to work for it?
  7. If a recruiter described your communication in one honest sentence, what would you want it to be – and is that true today?
  8. What’s the one habit, small enough to build in 30 days, that would lift your communication the most? (Rereading every async message before sending? The [Action]/[FYI] subject-line discipline? Propping the laptop to eye level before every call?)

What “done” looks like

Your profile is ready when:

  • It’s first-person and honest – what’s actually true, not what sounds correct.
  • It’s specific – “I lead with the ask and reread before sending” beats “I’m a clear communicator.”
  • It spans the module – presence, writing, async, the quieter signals, and video.
  • It names one strength and one thing you’re working on, and ends with one specific 30-day habit.

The chatbot below walks one prompt at a time, draws your answer out, and pushes gently on anything generic. The Profile sits on your dashboard; the habit is the thing you carry into Console.
